Harrison Gaines is the CEO/Founder of SLASH Sports & Entertainment and a California Attorney.
Gaines has built a business from scratch that now represents over 30 clients; he was the youngest agent to represent a #2 pick (Lonzo Ball-2017); negotiated a maximum salary deal for WNBA All-Star Odyssey Sims (2019); secured brand partnerships with Nike, ESPN, Uninterrupted, Foot Locker, Bleacher Report, Facebook, Twitter, among others; and has negotiated record setting deals in China for Nick Young and Jamaal Franklin.
During law school, Harrison became a nationally recognized negotiator, being honored by the American Bar Association. In addition, he worked at Impact Sports, a sports management firm that represents numerous NBA and NFL athletes. He played an influential role in Jamaal Franklin being drafted to the Memphis Grizzlies(41st-2013) and securing a cash shoe deal as a 2nd round pick (And 1). Moreover, he helped obtain over $100M in contracts for Kawhi Leonard and Will Barton in the Summer of 2015. Additionally, Harrison worked at Encore Sports & Entertainment, where he secured, drafted, and reviewed marketing contracts for the firm’s clients which included Pro Bowl Wide Receiver Odell Beckham.
Prior to his legal career, Harrison was a 3-Time All-CIF 1st Team Basketball Player, his high school’s all-time leading scorer, and a member of the National Honors Society. Upon high school graduation, he enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania, which he attended from 2007-09 and graduated from UC Riverside in 2012. At both institutions he played on the Men’s Basketball Team, accomplishments include leading the Ivy League in Assist/TO Ratio and ranking 3rd in the conference in Assists Per Game. Harrison has been profiled in Sports Illustrated, ESPN, Entrepreneur Magazine, and Sports Agent Blog. He is active in the community and believes in the power of mentorship as a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
